Nudist Tips Q: Nude Boating? Are You Kidding?
A: Not at all! We have always enjoyed being nude on our boat. We like the
freedom from clothes and feeling the warm sun on our "buns". Also, no tan lines!
You would be amazed at the number of other boaters we pass on the water during
the warm summer months who are also nude. So, why not get together?
Q: Where would we go?
A: Just about anywhere. Puget Sound has lots of semi-isolated coves and beaches.
Especially on the Hood Canal side. Or we could just cruise together in the buff
to a non-nude destination. Let's share our ideas?

Q: Is this legal? I mean - what if somebody sees us?
A: Of course, good taste and discretion are very important. We always cover up
when other boats are close by us or when entering a harbor or marina. In the
five years we have been sailing nude, we have never been stopped or even warned
by anyone.
Q: How is your organization structured? What are the dues and fees?
A: Right now, we're pretty loose - and mainly just want to assess the level of
interest in "bare-boating" among other folks in the local boating community.
There are no fees, scheduled meetings or agendas, yet. Those things may develop
if our group grows in size.
Q: Is there a national organization?
A: Yes, It's Called the "Nautical Naturists" and there are sixteen different
"flotillas" across the U.S. and Canada. They share ideas, information,
experiences, and offer links to related organizations and services, such as
naturist travel and other nudist groups. They are even designing a "burgee" for
members to display if they wish to identify themselves as members of this 'elite
group'.
Q: Do I need to own a boat?
A: Either that or be invited by someone who owns one as a guest or crew member.

Q: So - Who are you guys and how did you get into this?
A: Actually, we're probably a lot like you. We are a discreet, professional
couple, married over 25 years who love boating. We have always been pretty
uninhibited when it comes to nudity and enjoy visiting the nude beaches on the
West Coast and in Hawaii. We have responsible jobs and families and would never
do anything to compromise someone else's privacy or embarass them.
Q: What If I do not know how to snorkel?
Our staff as well as the guides and charters are all top notch professionals in
teaching you what you will need to know about snorkeling and how to stay safe in
the water. Our private charters such as the Snorkeling fishing combo and the
Dolphin watching snorkeling trip have all been set up to take the new snorkeler
to waters the he or she will find to be safer feeling. We call it the "Kiddie
Pool". A great way to start off the little ones.
Q: Will I be able to swim with the wild dolphins?
Currently it is illegal to swim with Wild Coastal Bottle nosed dolphins here in
Key West. The concern is that the mammals may become more and more friendly with
people and leave them at risk for possible injury from approaching boats. It is
the policy here at Dream Catcher Charters to assume a role not only to help our
clients interact with wild dolphins as closely as possible, but to ensure that
the daily routine of the dolphins not be disturbed either.
Q: What if I cannot swim?
Swimming is not a requirement for our trips. We have special equipment on our
boats to ensure that even a non-swimmer can have a great time in the waters here
in Key West. Special attention is what these trips are all about. Floatation
jackets and noodles are provided on our trips for your comfort and safety.
What should I bring?
Hat, towel, sunscreen and polarized glasses. Oh, and don't forget to bring a
camera for the tricks that the dolphins like to do for our clients. We supply
sodas and bottled water for your refreshment. Per person dolphin watching trips
include a fruit snack as well. Underwater cameras can be purchased at the marina
of your departure. Special dietary needs are your responsibility. No glass
bottles please.
Is there an age requirement?
Kids of all ages can attend; whether you are 1 or 101 it does not matter.
Everyone is welcomed to come on our trips to enjoy the Key West waters and what
lies beneath.
Q: Can I bring my pet?
Individual captains have different rules regarding pets on boats. We want
everyone to be comfortable. Per person trips will not offer pet friendly
service. However, private charters can be found that do. Please call us for
special placement.
Dangerous marine life?
So far in the history of tourism in the Florida Keys there has yet to be a case
of attack by shark or any other toothy critter. There is nothing to worry about.
Trust us; if there were, well, we would not run the trip because no one but
Steve Irwin (The Crocodile Hunter) would want to go out there.
LEGAL
NOTE:
The naturist photo and video documentaries that we offer are legal in every city, every state and every county inside the United States. They are protected by the First Amendment and are not subject to local obscenity laws or ordinances. The depiction of adults and children nude in the visual media has enjoyed constitutional protection in the United States since 1958, when the Supreme Court vacated a Court of Appeals finding that Sunshine& Health magazine could be obscene (Sunshine Book Co. v. Summerfield, Postmaster General, 355 U.S. 372). The right to depict adults and children in innocent nude poses has been upheld without a pause for 41 years. In case after case, the Supreme Court and lower courts have always upheld the constitutionality of "nudity without more," specifically referring to the nudist depiction as a fully constitutional form of expression. Our website is widely visited in all of Asia, Europe, South America, Canada, Australia and Africa. The only exception may be countries where nudity of any kind is banned.
